stalingrad is just 4 inches.

The nuchal hump may not be very big, but the colors are awesome, so I think you can still be proud of your fish :)

thank you!his my 2nd favorite.hehe!that is one reason why i love flowerhorns is that individuals will have unique patterns,no 2 flowerhorns will have same patterns.that is why there is no guarantee to get fry with pretty patterns even if the parents are both gorgeous.

yes i did.there are also some "methods" we use to determine who females are. ;D,although it's not always accurate just as to other fish.

some of my males are now showing potential to having nuchal hump.
thank you.. ;D ;D

here is the last flowerhorn in my collection(for now)..
he may look stressed or sick or beaten up,but actually it's normal they look this way.they are called "faders/faded" flowerhorn.it is actually a xanthic.kinda like an albino.(eg. pink convicts, cambodian bettas are xanthic...i think).i don't know about other fish, but fader flowerhorns undergo this process as if they are molting,1st they may be colored then all of the sudden the color will fade.some parts will actually blacken.when i 1st saw a fader,i thought it's a form of cruelty, that they inject something into an ordinary flowerhorn just to make their markings disappear.
here is my fader.

The "red" in this last photo is really brilliant, is this a natural red?
